Facelift of hostels by June 11: Govt
Hyderabad: Admitting that there were certain deficiencies in some of the social welfare hostels in the state, the govt said it will repair, rebuild and improve the facilities during the ongoing summer recess and improve the conditions in the hostels by June 11 when schools get reopened.
Additional advocate general Mohammed Imran Khan made this assurance before a bench of Chief Justice Alok Aradhe and Justice J Anil Kumar which was hearing a PIL filed by K Akhil Sri Guru Teja.

Petitioner’s counsel Chikkudu Prabhakar reminded the court about the Sept 19, 2023, order of the court that directed the state govt to submit a compliance report as per the instructions contained in chapter IV of guidelines of the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights Act, 2018, that direct the states to compulsorily provide decent facilities for hostel students.
The bench sought a compliance report from the government by June 10.
